Our story
About Taura Therapy
Taura is a Shona verb meaning “to talk” or “to speak”. The name reflects a belief that I hold firmly, talking about what we are experiencing can be the beginning of understanding, growth and the healing process. At Taura Therapy, we provide a safe, supportive and non-
judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions and experiences, feel heard and gain a deeper understanding of yourself.
Whether your’e navigating life’s challenges, experiencing emotional difficulties or simply looking for space to reflect, we are here to support you. We believe that sometimes, the first step towards healing is simply having the space to talk about it.
Your story matters. Your voice deserves to be heard.

Meet The Therapist
My name is Tino, and I am a psychotherapist, a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and the founder of Taura Therapy. My approach is centred on understanding each individual and recognising that everyone’s experiences are unique. I aim to create a therapeutic relationship built on trust, empathy and collaboration, allowing us to explore what brings you to therapy and work towards greater insight, resilience and personal growth.
Tinotenda Savanhu
My Approach: Integrative
Emphasises the importance of the therapeutic relationship, offering empathy, understanding and acceptance. It provides space for you to explore your experiences at your own pace and feel heard without judgement.
Explores the connection between thoughts, feelings and behaviours. It can help you recognise unhelpful patterns, develop new perspectives and find ways of managing emotional difficulties.
Explores how early relationships and life experiences may influence the way we relate to ourselves and others. It can help us understand patterns in relationships, trust, emotional connection and attachment. By bringing together these perspectives, I aim to offer a flexible and collaborative therapeutic experience that is shaped around you.
Thinking About Therapy ?
Taking the first step towards therapy can sometimes feel daunting, but you do’t have to have everything figured out before reaching out.
At Taura Therapy, we offer a free 15-minute initial consultation to give you an opportunity to ask questions, share a little about what brings you to therapy and explore whether working together feels right for you.
There is no pressure or obligation. It’s simply an opportunity to connect, talk and find out more about the support available.
